Our story

The Adventurista Collective is a private, peer-to-peer adventure travel community for women who crave real connection, time in nature, and a touch of backwoods luxury.

We create small-group adventure trips for women who love the outdoors—but who also appreciate a warm bed, a good meal, and the magic that happens when you bring the right people together. They are lovingly curated outdoor explorations, thoughtfully designed and personally tested, with just enough comfort to make you feel like you're on vacation.

This isn’t a public hiking group. There’s no Facebook page, no public booking option, and no crowds. The collective grows by word of mouth—friends referring friends, trail sisters inviting women they know and trust. We keep the circle small and intentional, because the best adventures happen when you know the people around you have your back.

A Note from the Founder

I’m Nikki, and I’ve been organizing hikes, international trekking expeditions, camping trips, and backcountry adventures for the past decade. It started informally—just women who wanted to get outside more—and over time, it became clear this was something deeper. A need for nature. A need for connection. A need for spaces where we could show up exactly as we are, move our bodies, get dirty, and still end the day with a glass of wine and a good laugh.

Growing up, I was the kid obsessed with adventure. I used to stare at the glossy Outward Bound catalogs that came in the mail, dreaming of paddling next to whales and climbing high alpine ridges. But we didn’t have the money. My single mom worked hard, and those trips stayed in the dream category.

As an adult, I tried to book women’s adventure trips and was floored by the cost. Most companies were charging 40 to 60 percent above trip expenses. It didn’t sit right. So I started organizing my own. I kept costs down, picked the routes myself, and filled each trip with women who were strong, fun, kind, and down to earth.

The Adventurista Collective was born from that experiment.

“Nikki did an incredible job organizing and promoting our Andes hiking adventure in Peru. The views were jaw-dropping, and the experience struck the perfect balance—rugged mountain treks by day, and sleeping under the stars in stunning glass domes by night.”
